Bonnie Hodgson Starlet Award

The "Starlet Award" is available to any girl age 15-19 years old, who is a resident of the state of Kansas and is a member of Kansas State USBC Youth, Kansas High School Team, or Collegiate team.  The applicant shall maintain a good scholastic record, high bowling potential, and outstanding present or past bowling achievments.

Bonnie Hodgson was a past president of the Kansas Women's Bowling Association.  Bonnie was elected to the KWBA Board of Directors as a delegate from Salina.  After serving the bowlers of Kansas as a director Bonnie was elected to the position of President in 1969 and served as President until her retirement in 1991.  Through tireless hours Bonnie worked coaching the youth of Salina as well as being involved with the Kansas State YABA.  Bonnie was elected to the KWBA Hall of Fame in 1982.

 

 

Clyde Kemmerer Memorial Scholarship

Sue Taylor Youth Bowler Scholarship

The Sue Taylor Scholarship is available to any Kansas High School Senior who is a member of Kansas State USBC Youth. 

Sue was appointed by KWBA to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for Kansas YABA where she served for many years.  Sue was an instructor and coach for the Junction City Big Bowl Youth for over 35 years.  She was a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress and an active bowler in the Manhattan Junction City Area for over 50 Years.  Supporting Youth bowlers locally and statewide was always her main goal.  Her love for bowling began with youth bowlers.
